Our Commissioners
William Hands
Is our dedicated chairman and poet laurate. A local business owner and former school board member. William has devoted almost nine years volunteering as commissioner to the Orient-East Marion Park District. Prior to his tenure with the park district he served as a member of the Oysterponds School District.
He is a committed husband and father. Known as "Billy" to friends and family. He can always be found at his business Orient Service Station.

Marcia Sheldon
Is currently serving the park district in her third year as commissioner. She is an established real estate agent and business owner. A Port Washington native. She found a deep love and appreciation of the North Fork. Making her new home in Orient after 30 years. When she isn't helping the district with her vast knowledge of land use and real estate expertise. She is a dedicated member of the North Fork Polar Bears supporting C.A.S.T..

Joseph Wysocki
Is in his second year of commissioner for the park district. A life long Orient resident, Joe has a deep love for the areas natural resources. As well as his four-legged friends. For Joe this isn't his first term of volunteering. He has dedicated his life to helping others, whether it be as a member of the Orient Fire Department, the Southold Police Department or the United States Marine Corps. Joe's experience and upbringing are a huge asset to the district.
